How To Add Favicon To Squarespace 7.1 | Create Browser Icon For Free

Not only does a custom Favicon help make your website stand out in a crowded bookmarks folder, but the icon can also really help your brand stick in the minds of your customers.

Also where the heck does the word Favicon come from? Well, it comes from the icon that is visible in your web browser’s favorites. The icon also shows up next to URLs in some search results!

I should also mention that the most common file type for a Favicon is called ICO. This is a special file type that web browsers can use to create different sizes on the fly. This ICO file will make sure that your Favicon looks sharp and crisp across all devices. The last thing you want is for your Squarespace Favicon to look blurry!
